BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY 

AI-Powered Home Service Matching 

The home services market generates $600 billion annually, yet customer satisfaction (NPS) remains low. The company, Socratic System is looking for to leverage the power of AI to seamlessly connect users with the perfect home service providers, ensuring personalized matches tailored to their unique needs and preferences.

THE PROBLEM

How might we make the home service searching faster and more accurate?

Breezy needs to address two key users, The acutal "CUSTOMER" who is seeking service to fix his/her home and the "HANDYMAN" aka handyman who is providing the service.

So who are we designing for?

CUSTOMER: struggle with opaque home service options and inefficient communication, difficult to find the right provider quickly.

HANDYMAN: unaligned incentives, low-quality leads, and lack of contextual information make it difficult to prioritize or execute tasks efficiently.

Two main features

Breezy caters to two target audiences with two main features: a customer platform for those seeking home service providers and the Handyman AI Assistant, which helps handymen manage tasks and scheduling efficiently.

Let's now focus on the Customer Platform feature first.

Problem Diagnosis Feature

An AI-powered system designed to thoroughly identify and address customers' home service needs.

FINAL DESIGN

1. Define the problem

Users simply enter a few keywords describing their issue. Whether the description is detailed or vague, this serves as a starting point, and the AI will accurately identify the exact problem later

2. Collect URL or image

Customers can identify the issue by uploading images or sharing a URL to relevant information they’ve found online.

Using the uploaded images and URLs, Breezy will gather additional details about the issue, such as its location in the home.

5. Customers use image recognition feature

Image recognition is available at every step of the multiple-choice process, allowing customers to upload images at any time. Once the AI identifies the problem area from the images, customers can move forward with scheduling a handyman.

Request service

After diagnosing the problem, customers can proceed to request service by providing their availability. Breezy will then guide them through a detailed, AI-powered multiple-choice decision tree to accurately identify their specific home service needs.

1. Choose availability

Customers will choose their availability, and Breezy will use this time frame to contact service provide or handyman later.

This helps Breezy narrow down the available service providers near the customer's address.

3.Review task

Before the service request is confirmed, Breezy provides a summary of the task details and scheduled time.

4. Task requested

Once the request is confirmed, Breezy will automatically search for service providers on your behalf within 24 hours.

Once service request is sent to Breezy, customers will receive a link to track the status of their service request that their service options will be available in 24 hours.

6. Track the status of the service requested by Breezy: "Contacting" state 

Customers can track the status of their service requests through Breezy. The list will display the status and details of each service provider who has reached out.

Once service providers share their pricing and details, customers can review all the information here.

7. View call notes

When Breezy contacts service providers, it uses AI-generated calls to reach out. After the call is completed, Breezy provides a summary of the call notes for customers to review, along with additional details such as pricing.

8. Confirm booking request

Once customers select a service provider they’re satisfied with, they can click the 'Book Service' CTA to confirm their booking. However, this is not a finalized reservation yet, as the request still needs to be reviewed and confirmed by the service provider.

Customers will wait for a text message to confirm their appointments, and they can also cancel appointment if needed.

9. Happy path: Appointment confirmed 

Once the service provider replied and confirmed the appointment, customers will receive a text confirmation and their status tracking view will update.

In some cases, customers may not receive a reply from service providers or may encounter price changes. All of this information will be reflected in the status tracking view.

FEATURE #3

The DIY experience

After identifying the problem, Breezy also offer customers an alternative option: they can complete the task themselves with detailed, step-by-step instructions provided instead of hiring someone to do the job.

FINAL DESIGN

1. Choose handyman or DIY

Show the estimated time and cost for both options to help customers compare and make an informed decision. If customers choose a handyman, they will be guided through the previous flow to book a service provider. If they choose DIY, they will proceed to the DIY flow.

Breezy will ask a series of AI-generated multiple-choice questions to gather more context and create step-by-step instructions for the DIY task.

Breezy will generate a preview of the instructions, outlining each step of the task, and provide a list of required tools along with direct product links on the page.
